Since 2018, PICS -Foreign Credential Recognition (FCR) Loans Program has been helping skilled newcomers get back into their professional or alternative career fields.
Our team has helped hundreds of skilled newcomers in a variety of sectors such as health, education, technology, accounting, law, and others. Our FCR program offers loan & career guidance for eligible skilled newcomers to get back into their professional or alternative career field.
We understand that skilled newcomers face challenges when it comes to finding employment or getting their credentials verified in Canada. The process of having foreign credentials recognized can be complex and time-consuming, which can be frustrating for newcomers who are eager to contribute their skills and expertise to Canadian society. That’s where we come in. Our team of experts has extensive experience in the field of credential recognition, and we are committed to helping newcomers achieve their professional goals.

Raj Hundal
He has more than 10 years of experience in Employment Programs, including employment counseling, case management, workshop facilitation, job development, and program management. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of British Columbia, a Law Degree from the United Kingdom, and holds the designation of Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP). He has worked with diverse client groups including newcomers to Canada, persons with disabilities, and youth. In addition, he is experienced in public relations, communications, and marketing. He has previously worked at the City of Vancouver, the Provincial government, and the Government of Canada. He is now Director of Employment Programs (WorkBC) and Planning and Manager, Immigrant Satellite Office – WorkBC Employment Services Centre, Vancouver South. In addition, Raj is a part-time Career Development Professional program Instructor at Langara College, teaching “Work Search Skills and Employment Development.”

Raj Brar

Raj Brar
She is a reliable, committed, and result-focused individual. With over 20 years of progressive experience in education and employment programs, she has experience in project management, event coordination, fundraising, as well as educational and employment counseling within the public and non-profit sectors. Raj Brar has a Bachelor of Science and Pharmacy from India and holds the designation of Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP). Raj previously worked at BCIT in the School of Business for over two decades. She joined PICS in 2018 as an FCR Program Manager to work with Internationally Trained Professionals (ITPs). Raj Brar has proven to exceed expectations while providing superior service and solutions.
